Term: 1               Week: 10/11

Some work I am proud of… During weeks 10/11 I am proud of my inquiry because with my group we had persevered especially when we didn't know what to do. Also with inquiry I'm proud of what we have accomplished with our final outcome.

Here is my Personal Inquiry … For my inquiry my group and I did a volcano that exploded facts about our big question we were researching and we also made a newspaper all about rocks and were they are made from.

Reflecting on my Inquiry, I have … Think I have done well with participating in my group and focusing on my work and what I need to do during our time that we had for each inquiry session. I think I need to work on I am doing everything that we need to do not making everyone do one thing, make sure that everyone does everything.

Here is my Passion Project … I think that I did well with getting all thehot gluing and getting all the props that we needed for our project to make it look like a realistic jungle with clay.

Reflecting on my Passion Project, I have … I liked the way that we both tried to make our clay animals really detailed because it would look so much better in our jungle scene we were making.

Reflecting on my term, I have … I think during the term I have showed most of our school values everyday. I also think I did well this term with showing quality in all my work I completed. I think I need to work on taking more oppotunitys in school.

Weekly Reflection 3/4 Week

WEEKLY REFLECTION

Something I enjoyed from week 3 and 4:

I have enjoyed doing my calender art and being creative in my ideas.  I also really liked while I was doing my calender art and colouring in my work with lots of different colours and making my art really pop art!!!!!! 

Something that challenged me during week 3 and 4:

The thing that has challenged me the most is trying to find the time to finish my reading hopscotch and doing it to the best of my ability's.  I think I need to use more of my time management so I can actually get my work done.  I lastly think I need to try harder when doing my reading hopscotch.

A value I have been showing consistently and how:

The value I have been showing during weeks 3/4 is Respect because currently 

my group LEEP and I have been going to the Darnley club.  Which is a place where elderly's go and get looked after.  We go to the Darnely club once a week on Thursdays 10:30am to 12:00pm.

A value that I think I need to improve on and how:

A value that I think I need to work on is create because especially at technology I haven't been creative with my ideas and what we are doing.  I also think I need to be more creative in the classroom because I am currently being really plain with my ideas and work.

Week 2 Reflection

Week 2 - Reflection

Some work I am proud of… (add evidence and a brief explanation)

This week I was proud of my crime scene writing draft because I think I added lots of detail and all the main points I needed to add. I also think I did well in my story by telling the reader who my suspects and why I think they did it and my explanation about them.

Something that has challenged me this week is… (explain why)

This week a challenged me this week is some of my reading hopscotch because some of the things I didn't understand how to do but I have learnt more how to do the tasks.

A school value that I have worked hard at achieving this week is… (add evidence and a brief explanation)

A value that I have tried to show is connect because last week I don't think I showed much of it in school, but this week was different because I have been talking to more people even little kids or my buddy class from last year (2017).

A school value that I need to work on is… (explain why)

I think that I need to work on the value of create because I haven't really wanted to create anything and we haven't really had any opportunity's except for at tech but we haven't/didn't carry on with our pencil cases.

I think I have showed this by making sure I did not or tried my best to stay in the green area so I wouldn't have to have time outside or anything like that.

What is my personal goal for next week?

My personal goal for next week is to make sure that i ask more questions in maths,reading and writing so i can understand it better than I probably did.

Some work I am proud of… (add evidence and a brief explanation) Some work that I am really proud of is how I tried my best and asked questions in math so I understood what I needed to do. I have loved still in math how I made sure I never gave up and had a growth mindset.

The thing that was challenged me this week is figuring out what I needed/wanted to write down in my writing for our crime scene story that we found in our classroom on Monday (the first day back at school).

I tried to work hard on the value create because in technology I am taking on a new thing I have never really tried before which is sewing.

I think I need to work on connecting because I haven't really helped people with what they needed to do and I need to make new friends with people I don't know.

Making sure I had a acceptable attitude all the time and making sure I was responding appropriately to the teacher and tried to show all our values all the time.

What is my personal goal for next week?

My goal for next week is to try to do everything in sewing at tech and try every thing in it. Also making sure I show all my values not just some of them.

Some work I am proud of… (add evidence and a brief explanation)

I am proud of my writing about our natural disasters because I think that my journal that I am doing is interesting to read and it represents my character well. Here is an some of my draft...

‘Science in Van’ were at school and I learnt...

How to make the force of something go faster or have more power to go where it needs to be. If you want something to go faster or have more power you have to put less things in something to make it easier to left or push. I also learnt that one nail will go straight through the skin because of all of your weight, but if somebody sits on hundreds of nails it won't go through there skin.

Our inquiry is about geology and our world… (what’s some new I have learned)

I have learnt that there is a lot of natural disasters that relate to some other natural disasters like... wind tunnel and tornado they are like the same things. I also learnt that here is three different plates like... the divergent plate, convergent plate and the transform plate.

What is my personal goal for next week?

My goal for next is to manage my self and show respect and all of my values all of the time not just when the teacher is looking. I also think I need to work with people I won't get distracted by.

This fortnights Tōtara goal was Time Management and I achieved/showed this by... I think I showed this by trying everything and making sure that I worked in a spot where it was not distracting or where I would not get anything done.

This week I am proud of my writing about our camp experience because I think through out all my years of school I have improved heaps every year getting better and better. Here is the start of my story.... Shivering in fear I heard the exiting and nerve wracking news "group four is doing high ropes for there next rotation" the teacher informed.

Something that has challenged me this week is… (explain why)

The thing that has most challenged me this week is getting all my work quality and done on time this is because I have been getting distracted from my friends and I am working in places I do not work well in.

A school value that I have worked hard at achieving this week is… (add evidence and a brief explanation) This week I have tried to work on is create because for passion projects Lily and I are making clay animals that are from a jungle.

A school value that I need to work on is… (explain why) The school value I think I need to work is connect because I haven't been connecting with much people only the people that I know I am playing with not anyone new.

This fortnights Tōtara goal was Time Management and I achieved/showed this by... I think I have sort of achieved this because sometimes these weeks I wasn't using my time wisely but as the weeks has gone on I have learnt to make sure I am working in a spot where I can concentrate on what I need to do.

What is my personal goal for next week? My personal goal for next week is to make sure I am connecting more with people and the environment and to also still use my time wisely and make sure I am not getting distracted by my friends.

Paige's Weekly Reflection Week 4 Camp

Weekly Reflection

Term:1  Week:4

Something I am proud of from camp … I am proud of when I did high ropes
because when I was walking on the thin ropes and the huge long log it
was very nerve wracking being up high. It was especially because it
was raining so everything was very slippery while I was walking across
all the rope activities.

A highlight from camp for me was … The highlight for me at camp was
the camp fire because even though there was no camp fire it was still
really fun. It was fun because of all the songs that we sung and all
the instructors were funny.

What challenged me over last two weeks? Something that has challenged
me has been trying to find out what all the math questions for homework
because some of the questions are hard.

How did I overcome these challenges or what do I need to do to overcome
them in the future? I over came these challenges by asking questions
and working in spots that I wont get distracted in and working without
electronics.

This fortnights Tōtara goal was active listening and I achieved/showed
this by… I think I have achieved this by looking at the people that
are/were talking to me and answering all the questions they might have
asked me.

Next week I would like to achieve in class is… Trying to earn more
Totara tokens during class by showing all our new and old values. (new:
Connect, Create, Reflect, Respect and Be Brave) (old: Respect, Quality,
Community, Opportunity, Arohanui and Responsibility).

Some work I am proud of… (add evidence and a brief explanation)

This week I am proud of my persuasive letter to the ministry of education because first I made my letter I didn't think that it was not the best, so I decided to do another letter.  In my letter I  thought wrote about our problem that we have been having with our  air conditioning.

What challenged me over last two weeks?

The thing that has challenged me the most was finishing all my  reading hopscotch's because I was getting distracted a lot during the prosses of us doing the reading hopscotch's.

How did I overcome these challenges or what do I need to do to overcome them in the future?

I achieved this by persevering with my work and trying to work away from friend so I could finish all my  reading activity's.

What is my personal goal for next week?

My goal is to try my best in all of the activity's at camp and push out of my convert zone even if things look  scary or nervraking.  I also think that I have to remember at camp I probably wont have all the opportunity's  after camp so try everything that is on offer.
